A 2-Player game currently on Kickstarter. You may be asking yourself, "If it's a 2-Player game, why the fuck is Cadet mentioning it?" Well, this is from the Maul Peak campaign:

I contacted the designer, Eduardo Baraf (Edo), asking about the Solo potential (if any) of Maul Peak, as I wanted to mention it in ST, and he quickly replied:
"Hi Mike, Runes & Ruins is not a solo experience that I think warrants buying Maul Peak if you weren't interested in 2 player play. That's why it isn't listed as a 1-2 player experience. I do think R&R is a novel, fun solo narrative adventure, but it is one play that takes about 20 minutes. PFG does a lot of solo stuff in our games, but we aren't doing a big solo marketing push on this one. TLDR: I don't think Maul Peak is "solo worthy" on its own and would recommend against championing it in a solo channel. Just speaking honestly."
I'm giving Edo a Thumbs-Up for a quick and honest reply.
I look at Runes & Ruins the same way as I look at the booklet in Warp's Edge. It's no more, no less, I think: a CYOA to pick a character prior to the game proper. A nice bonus, for sure, but nothing that makes the game soloable, as Eduardo Baraf well said.
