One of the projects I'm backing notified me as to what ship my game is on. Using FleetMon (it is to ships as FlightAware is to passenger planes) I can track its position. There are several Websites like FleetMon, such as VesselTracker, MyShipTracking, MarineVesselTracking, VesselFinder, etc. Anyway, I arbitrarily picked FleetMon, and using that, my game is here (scroll down a bit, if you follow this Link, to see the map).
Looking at the picture of the ship and all those shipping containers made me wonder, "How many games would fit in just one of those containers?" Well, using Clank! (12"x12"x3") as an example, 9600 would fit in one 40' container. That's not figuring in the extra packing, though, just the bare game. So, maybe it would only be 8500, or whatever.
Considering how many containers are on a ship, that's a boat-load of games (<- lame pun). I couldn't really figure-out how many containers were on the ship though, 'cause its capacity is measured in how much weight it can carry. I realize it's probably not all games, though. 😥
And now, a gratuitous Link to something that may interest you, but it's not game-related. 🙂
According to the news article on that page, the ship was once caught carrying cocaine. So yeah, you never know what else may be stacked next to our games. 😄
