I feel so Organized! (FYI-Minor Rise of Fenris Spoilers)

I was off work a couple weeks ago with a cold bug (thankfully NOT "the Vid"). Nevertheless, I was under the weather and was not in the mood to get to the table.

During this week off, I had my Scythe Folded Space organizers arrive! As I began to mend by the weekend, I got my new organizers out, some glue and took (a couple hours) to get things ready for my Scythe Legendary Box!

Here's all components in their new homes. I'm so excited!!! The idea of just pulling out things all ready to go is incredibly satisfying without even having done it yet. 🤣 I even switched my metal coins over to my new organizers and put all the cardboard coins (except the 50s) into my Expeditions box. As nice as it is to be able to use the coins with either game, Scythe uses more money, much more often so it makes sense to have the metal coins here and organized.

And away we go - The beginning of the base layer in the legendary box!

OMG I can't wait to play! No more baggies, no more containers to take lids off as the pieces fly out sometimes when you pop it off - just grab a container straight out of the box and get your faction and player mats ready to play!!! 😍

So organized. So much more convenient. A fantastic purchase in my book. All game boards and manuals rest on top of this layer. Love it. Can't wait to play next! 😊

This insert looks neat!

I like getting inserts for my games. I tried the foam-like ones (for Star Wars: Rebellion and Mice & Mystics) and the wooden ones (for Runebound, Warcraft, Nova Luna, Risk Future, and Mage Knight).

Now that I think about it, I haven't played any of these games since I got their insert. 🤔

Good question. I think stuff is better protected with foam, but I don't like the tactile sensation, and I'm not sure it's very practical to get stuff out of it (especially cards). Not that it matters much in my case...

I believe wooden inserts are more beautiful, I like the smell, and they are fun to assemble. They add some weight, yes, but not that much. Overall I think I prefer the wooden ones. I always get them from e-raptor (they are shipped from Poland and the shipping fees are good) and although some bits may break a bit too easily during assembly, I have been satisfied overall.

Usually they are well thought out both for storage in the box and for set-up. I got the Warcraft: The Board Game insert and each faction comes in its own little box that you can easily grab to play. Very neat. I also got the expensive one for Mage Knight: Ultimate Edition because the cards had broken through the plastic insert (crappy quality stuff) during delivery. It's good stuff, very well designed. And again, each mage comes with its dedicated box.
