Getting back into the rhythm.
Lands of Galzyr (2 plays): Still going strong and it's just really easy to pull it out, set it up and enjoy the story and see what your choices bring.
Wayfarers of the South Tigris (3 plays): With Lacrimosa bringing back my interest in playing dry euros solo, this kicked it into a higher gear. So much to do, so little actions as the AI moves forward on the central board and collects points. It plays solo between 90-120 minutes but time flies.
Final Girl (3 plays): My FLGS finally received my preorder. I understand the hype. Not sure I completely agree with the 8.4 BGG rating. But then again the theme is spot on and the card play is interesting. Just accept a healthy dose of dice rolling luck.
Clank!: Catacombs (2 plays): This is probably my favourite of the Clank! series. Solo you need the Dire Wolf app and it's ok. I wished there was a better solo variant available because multiplayer it's my favourite multiplayer deck builder. For solo I still have Aeon's End so I'm good. I heard some good things about Valley of the Kings solo and Mike's (One Shop Coop Shop) solo variant for Tyrants of the Underdark get some good praise. Wondering what other think about the later ones 😉
Roll for Great Old Ones (2 plays): A Roll & Write Game: I received my backer PnP files. I first printed it on A4 but had to redo it on A3 (that font size!!!). It feels like a thematic version of That's Pretty Clever! but with a win/loss condition. The neat part about this game is that you can preroll as much as you want but each time you loose sanity which has consequences. This makes for a neat push your luck decision. It took me two times, on normal difficulty, to win the first (of four) scenario's looking forward how the other scenario's play.
Astroforce: The Dice Game (1 play): My monthly dose of Astroforce, nuff said. I also need a new dose of Lux Aeterna 😁
Thanks! I'll put Catacombs on my wishlist (not for solo though). Clank! In! Space! is one of the family favourites, but my daughter loves fantasy themed games so I think it will be a welcome addition even though we already have one in the series.
I like Tyrants of the Underdark - it's a good deck building game. So far I wouldn't call it great. And I traded away Valley of the Kings 😬 Perhaps I shouldn't advise you on what to buy next then...
