It's not uncommon for Japanese games to have a box cover in English while everything inside is in Japanese. I own a few Domina games that got localized (Argoat, Miraris, Pralaya, Night Clan) but there are still many I would like to get but cannot since they are fully in Japanese! Especially Geminoa and the Rondo ones.
Not unusual? I didn't realize that - it seems odd. I downloaded one of the Rulebooks (a PDF file), but Google Translate errored-out, saying the file was too big to translate. WTF? 😐
What do you mean by, "Domina games that got localized"?
@Cadet Stimpy Possibly because of the post-war American occupation, possibly because of trends that I can't untangle, there are plenty of Japanese stuff where English is very prominent. It's not uncommon to have parts of a song in English, for instance. The cover of the Final Fantasy video games show "Final Fantasy" written as is.Some Domina games have got picked up by publishers to receive an English version. Night Clan got an English version by Gamephilia (although apparently, Domina games already had published a multilingual version), Argoat, Miraris and Pralaya received an English version by Japanime Games (here again, the games were multilingual to begin with). Apparently the Domina version of Latria is already multilingual as well. But none of theme is soloable, I'm afraid. So, basically, they have a little US flag on the box cover when they can be found in English.

Glad to see which reply you'll receive!
