I've been really reading up more on solo RPG games, as I really admire the imagination side of those games (and I believe we all need to use our imaginations more).
I'm seeing it as something relaxing and different, but I'm kind of with @Zerbique on the pace being a bit slow for my taste.
Having said that, I'm exploring some things between RPG character creation and art. Last night I created a character using the "Scarlet Heroes" tables and began imagining what my dwarf (that's what I rolled) would look like based on his attributes, background etc.. And then using my imagination for not only the character design but the weapons, equipment etc...
Still playing with it, but it was relaxing in itself just doing that...
The character creation is always one of my favorite part as well in cRPG! But I like to create a whole party even more -I believe we, as individuals, are more defined by the various ties we engage in with others rather than by something that would be inherently "us". So creating a single character is not so much enjoyable to me, but creating a whole party and imagining the relations they have with each other and what brought them to travel together feels immensely more exciting!
