An Encounter!

Sorry, the title is misleading. I should say; "MANY encounters". Woo Hoo!!!

With some of my Amazon gift card money at Christmas, I ordered some other things in addition to my couple of new games (shocking I know, but it helps me stay married LOL). So I purchased a much needed organizer for our art desk in the office here at home. Well... it was a $30 piece of junk unfortunately. So I sent it back.

HOWEVER, the silver lining was I ordered a few more things with that refunded money, including my Scythe Encounters expansion. Yay!!!!! This little box holds a ton of additional encounter cards for use with the base game and expansions. These cards naturally have more of Jakob's cool artwork on them, and they also have fan created options on the cards. You can play with this deck, the base deck or combine them for a ton of variety.

I'm excited to break Scythe out today and continue my pre-Christmas "Scythe Bingo Campaign" and put this new deck to good use. :)

LOL Thanks JW! Actually it felt really nice to bring it out to the table after a couple weeks of digging into my new games. And I got anther victory to add to my Scythe Bingo Campaign card. :)

I used the new Encounter Deck and there is definitely some cool new choices to make. Some cards you actually get to keep to utilize later for certain things. Pretty cool. I didn't find it impacted the end game much at all really, but it sure made me go for those encounter tokens more than normal.

I finished with 6 where the Automa only had 4 (very unusual for my games LOL)
